Living in the Light

Starry speckles

Strewn

across sky.

Blanketing darkness, but black

is not what you see.

Furious flames

Fight

at our feet.

Smoke stings, but grey

is not what you feel.

Sonorous strings

Strum

with vibrant voice.

The world mourns, but blue

is not what you hear.

Colors and feelings will bend and break

Leaving a soul lost at the heart of a lake.

Turn your eyes to the sky,

Greater still is His light.

Faithful and bright

Watch Him provide.

A single day

Without His grace

His tender, faithful, immeasurable grace

Leaves you lost

Laws can never

Be fulfilled by our desire

Simply come before your father

Let his love lift you higher

Love will inspire

Light, straight from the father

Overwhelming any color

Any feeling

Any falter

For he alone will never alter

Praise to One Great Name we offer

And receive eternity.
