Kaleidoscope~ colliding clones
Waves subside without a whisper
Look for light, a distant flicker
Diving deep and tumble under
Everything is torn asunder
Still I see the moon
Out of darkness dragon slides
Every truth he turns to lie
His words are soothing, slither as slime
Knowledge, he says, it can be mine
But what he gives
Is no good at all
Kaleidoscopic, fractured truth, that
Holds no substance in the light, but
Takes its hold in dark of night, and
Leaves me wanting more
Green leaves. Turn to color as crimson
Light. Fall and shrivel. Coalesce and
Fight. From bright to dead.
Red to rust. Sinking as lead.
Rend the trust. To darkness we bend.
In an instant we see
Light floods in, and all is “free”
Choosing to look through the kaleidoscope
Drags into night, stealing our hope
So we turn. In as we want
to be out. Of this body, this place, this time, this grace
To know the great Garden-God, and seek His face
To know the truth, the single light
The holy perfect casts out night
He seeks us even still
He loves us even though
He knows our wayward will
He fills us and He will
Love us to the end.
